Golf is coming back to Binghamton University.

For the first time since hosting the America East championship in 2007, the Binghamton golf team will play host to an event this weekend.

The first annual BU Fall Invitational at the Links at Hiawatha Landing is scheduled to begin this Sunday.

The two-round event will feature 16 teams competing on the par-72, 7,104-yard golf course.

Players from Bucknell University, Cornell University, Colgate University, Hofstra University, Fordham University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Rider University, St. Bonaventure University, Saint Peter’s College, Towson University, the University of Ottawa and the University of Laval and Wagner are set to compete in the invitational.

The Bearcats are coming off a first-place finish at the Cornell Invitational last month. This win marks the fourth consecutive time they’ve taken the title at Cornell. Sophomore Josh Holling led the way for Binghamton, capturing his first career individual crown with a 36-hole total of 142 (-2).
