Club baseball earns first win

The Binghamton University club baseball team dominated Colgate 16-5 for its first win of the season, Sunday at SUNY Morrisville.

Offensively, the Bearcats (1-1) totaled 17 hits and 13 walks, while committing just one error in the field. Leading the way for the Bearcats were: Mike Lacondi, who went 3-for-4 with two walks and three runs; Max Loehrke, who had three hits and two runs; Jimmy Boslett, who singled and tripled; Tim Shaw who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBIs and a grand slam; and Mike Bradley who went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, a single, a double and a triple. BU was paced by pitchers Mike Bradley, who struck out three over six innings and Rob Parish who struck out a pair in his one inning of work.

The Bearcats’ next game is scheduled to be played against Colgate at SUNY Morrisville on Sunday.
