Mischief Night may typically go unnoticed in college, but this year you can reverse the trend and use it as an excuse on Oct. 30. Check out 10 funny, albeit tasteless, Internet pranks to pull on your friend’s open computer. (NOTE: We do not accept any responsibility for ruined friendships.)

1. Message your friend’s Facebook friends asking for money

In these hard economic times, it’s easy to go onto your friend’s Facebook and send out a mass message explaining how you could use a few extra BUC$. (Include a family member for added effect.)

2. Continuously ‘poke’ your friend’s resident assistant

Once a day during the course of a week or two, let your friend’s RA know that he or she is thinking of him by sending a few pokes.

3. ‘Like’ 25 Celine Dion songs on Pandora

Your friend will wonder why the music site Pandora keeps recommending 90s R&B slow jams.

4. Have your friend join bizarre Facebook groups

What will his 865 friends think when they see he liked ‘Pain is Weakness Leaving The Body,’ ‘Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin with no makeup on :)’ and ‘My Daddy Will Always Be My Hero <3?'

5. Send an emotional e-mail to your friend’s classmates on Blackboard

Blackboard has a great feature which lets a student e-mail all of their classmates at once, so why not take advantage of it? Don’t forget to go into detail about the three hours your friend spent staring into the mirror and crying.

6. Instead of an emotional e-mail, attach links to pornography sites

7. Post your friend’s Photo Booth pictures on Google

Months from now, your friend will google themselves and realize that anyone with a computer could know that she likes to kiss herself on mirror-effect.

8. Sign your friend up for Dickinson 2011. He might not be with all his friends in College-in-the-Woods next year, but at least now he can inhale some yummy asbestos!

9. Buy some textbooks online

It never hurts to buy a few dozen textbooks using your friends credit card, especially really expenive ones for organic chemistry or business law.

10. Go onto BU Brain and drop all of your friend’s classes

This trick is classic and simple, and since BU Brain usually logs you in automatically, it’s really easy to do some last-minute schedule changes before your friend’s midterm.
