LOCK: TAMPA BAY (-6.5) over Carolina ‘ The Panthers were already one of the worst teams in the league. Now, their offense is without Matt Moore, DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, likely putting Steve Smith on the brink of tears. Tampa Bay is keeping itself in the mix for a playoff spot and will be in an even better position after Sunday.

St. Louis (+6) over SAN FRANCISCO ‘ Winless on the road this season, the Rams have a great shot for their first one on Sunday. San Francisco looks set to start former Heisman winner Troy Smith, which doesn’t bode well for its chances in the game. I’m surprised the 49ers are favored by so much in this one.

Tennessee (-1) over MIAMI ‘ Even if Randy Moss doesn’t put up crooked numbers in Tennessee, he will help draw coverage away from other targets, particularly Chris Johnson, thus opening up the offense. The switch to Chad Pennington in Miami may have the team more motivated for the game, but Mr. Dink and Dunk won’t be able to lead his team to victory in this one.

Minnesota (-1) over CHICAGO ‘ Apparently none of the Vikings players are fans of their coach Brad Childress anymore. Of course, there weren’t many complaints when the team made the NFC Championship game last season. I think Favre and the gang will band together and take out the Bears, who have been very unimpressive since their 3-0 start.
