Despite nearly three weeks passing since its last match, the undefeated Binghamton women’s tennis team has a full weekend ahead of them. They will head to Olean, N.Y., to take on St. Bonaventure tonight before returning home on Sunday to face Niagara. The Bearcats will look to add to their 4-0 record in dual matches this season.
Binghamton will face St. Bonaventure on the road later tonight. The Bonnies are coming off their third straight loss against Albany in a 5-2 decision. St. Bonaventure has yet to capture a victory in dual matches this season.
Niagara University visits Binghamton with a 4-4 record, winning their last game against Loyola Sunday. The Purple Eagles present a bigger challenge to the Bearcats and their perfect record.
Binghamton, despite always being able to use rest, was not supposed to have this three-week hiatus. They were scheduled to play the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Feb. 23, but the match was postponed due to bus issues for NJIT. The match has been rescheduled for March 28 at the Events Center at 3:30 p.m.
The Bearcats handled the Colgate Raiders at the Events Center in their last match three weeks ago, avenging two previous losses early in the program’s Division I history.
Today’s match starts at 5 p.m. at St. Bonaventure. Sunday, the match is set to start at 7 a.m. at the Events Center.
