The Binghamton men’s lacrosse team is scheduled to host Vermont in its final regular-season home game on Saturday. The Bearcats (5-7, 1-2 AE), who are coming off back-to-back losses to Hartford and Canisius, are currently locked in a tie for fourth place with Stony Brook with just two games remaining on their regular season schedule.

The Catamounts: Yet to record a win in conference play, Vermont (3-9, 0-3) occupies the basement of the AE standings. The Catamounts are currently mired in a four-game losing skid, with their most recent loss a 21-11 routing by Albany on April 13.

Road woes: Vermont has managed just a single win on the road this season. The Bearcats, meanwhile, are 3-3 at home, but have not recorded a home win since March 23 against Quinnipiac.

Senior day: Binghamton is set to honor its four seniors on Saturday as the game marks the final regular season home match for midfields Tyler Perrelle, Shane Warner and Matt Moynihan and goalie Kraig Heston. Perrelle leads the seniors with 19 points and nine goals this season, while Warner leads the pack and ranks third on the team in ground balls with 22.

Faceoffs: With an injury to junior midfield Alex Doerflein last week, Binghamton will look to find a replacement to take over in faceoffs going forward. Head coach Scott Nelson has said that freshman midfielders Mitchell Labianca and Joey Dalfo and freshman defender George Diegnan could all get the call to fill in. But Doerflein, who led the conference with 7.55 ground balls per game, leaves behind a crucial void.

Who to watch: Junior attack Matt Springer leads the Bearcats with an average of 2.27 goals per game, good for ninth best in the conference. His six goals against Canisius on Wednesday matched a career high and marked the second time this season that he has reached that mark. Sophomore attack Tucker Nelson, meanwhile, tops the Bearcats in points per game and assists per game. With five assists on Wednesday, Nelson now has 26 on the season, a program single-season record. For the Catamounts, junior attack Graham Horvath and sophomore attack Drew Philie stand tied for seventh in the conference with 2.33 goals per game.
