Harpur Film Society Presents “Three Times”

The 2005 film, directed by Hou Hsiao-Hsien of China, is split into three episodes set in Taiwan, each running about 40 minutes and featuring Chang Chen and Shu Qi. Family Weekend Concert

A free family weekend concert will be held with the Binghamton University Wind Ensemble, Harpur Chorale and Women’s Chorus. The program will consist of varied choral and band music such as “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Phillip Sousa. There will also be a performance by Nukporfe, an African dance and drumming ensemble.

The concert will be held in the Osterhout Concert Theater at 3 p.m.

TV executive to speak

Gary Levine, class of ’74 and executive vice president of original programming at Showtime Networks, will return to campus to offer a symposium titled “An Insider’s Guide to the Process of Creating Television.” He’ll talk about screenwriting and the business of theater, television and entertainment. Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company

This official, national folk dance company of 45 dancers will perform, accompanied by live music, on United Nations Day, the date of the centennial of Philippine Emigration to the United States.
