The Binghamton University track and field teams took part in a pair of invitationals this weekend. The distance runners headed to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Invitaional, while the rest of the squad was in Charlottesburg, Va., for the Virginia Onesty Invitational. Team scoring was not kept, but several Bearcats qualified for the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America meet, and Eric Van set the school record in the 1,500 with a time of 3 minutes, 52.17 seconds at Bucknell. The previous record was 3:54.84, set by Matt Dresser in 2002.
