SUNDAY, OCT. 17, 2:32 a.m. ‘ After driving two unknown students, one male and one female, to Newing College’s Bingham Hall from Downtown early Sunday morning, a 35-year-old cab driver stated that the two ran out of the taxi and back into their dorm without paying their fare, said Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. Officers on patrol arrived and the driver gave a description of the two suspects, although he chose to take no action against them. Officers advised the driver to always get his fare before dropping off his passengers, but the victim replied that what he does is hectic work and it is not always easy to do so. Patrol left and no further action was taken.

MONDAY, OCT. 18, 12:26 p.m. ‘ An unknown suspect stole a 52-year-old Binghamton University employee’s $1,000 MacBook from his office in the Glenn G. Bartle Library. The victim stated that he exited his office for several minutes and left the door wide open, Bush said. According to the victim, he had done nothing to secure his office or the laptop, and anyone could have stolen it. Police have no suspects.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 20, 5:48 p.m. ‘ A 20-year-old female student made a report of harassment after an unknown suspect let the air out of her car’s tires, Bush said. The victim said the car had been parked in the Y3 Lot near Mountainview College. The victim stated that someone may have been tempted to do such a thing to her car because it was parked outside of the yellow parking spot line. There were no witnesses and police have no suspects.
