Lock:

Philadelphia (-7) over SEATTLE: The Seahawks are struggling. QB Matt Hasselbeck is out, WR Deion Branch is out and their defense cannot stop any pass-agressive team, allowing 245.3 yards per game. The Eagles pass 260+ per game.

Arizona (-3) over ST. LOUIS: The Cardinals have several things going well for them. First, they have a reasonable lead in the NFC West, two games ahead of Seattle and St. Louis. Second, Kurt Warner is having one of the best seasons of his career, though he still has a ways to go to compare to his days on the Rams, when in 2000 he led them to their first Super Bowl victory. Third, the Cards passing that dominates their game is hard to stop. It won’t be enough, though, as Arizona has to start proving they can rush the ball to add some insurance points.

Miami (+3) over DENVER: Last week the Dolphins proved they are not a team to dismiss and throw under the rug. Their impressive win over the Bills turned some heads, including mine, mainly because I was convinced Buffalo would come away with the win. New England spanked Denver last week, and Miami smacked around New England during Week 3. The Dolphins are no strangers to to being the underdog and they have no problem overcoming deficits, like they did last week against the Bills. Miami, down nine points in the third quarter, won 25-16.

Houston (+4.5) over MINNESOTA: Call it the “Game of the Weak” or, better yet, “The Sh*t Show of the Weak.” After a bad start, Houston has finally found its niche: passing. Minnesota has a problem with passing teams, but they have no problem stuffing a running game, but that’s the advantage for Texans — they’re all about passing.
