Lock:

Washington (-7.5) over DETROIT: The Lions (0-6) should clean out their lockers and start thinking about next year; this season looks hopeless. The Redskins, however, are only one loss behind the division-leading Giants. QB Jason Campbell should have no problem getting past the Lions’ awful defense.

Buffalo (-1.5) over MIAMI: The last time I picked the Bills to win, they were 4-0. After that week, they were 4-1. OK, so it was against Arizona, who gave the Bills a nice spanking. That’s history, though, as Buffalo still sits atop the AFC East. This relatively even matchup is a great win for either team. The Bills would dominate the division; the Dolphins would still have a chance heading into the second half of the season. Though Miami is home, they are coming off a two-game losing streak, and frankly, I’m looking for another “W” for Buffalo.

Tampa Bay (+2.5) over DALLAS: With Romo playing, this would be an easier call. But since he is still out with a broken finger, I can’t seem to give this one to Dallas. Yes, the Cowboys have been quite the team this season, but without Romo, their offense has fallen apart. To that note, Tampa Bay is a solid team that will look to take advantage of a Romo-less Dallas squad.

San Diego (-3.5) over NEW ORLEANS: Football heads to London. That’s a line most Londoners would find bizarre. Football exists in London. Oh, but it’s a different kind of football coming to “The City of Cities”: American style, baby. Don’t get me wrong though, much love to the other “football.” A road game for both teams brings no advantage. The Saints have to do without Reggie Bush, who is out for the month with a knee injury.
