It’s been almost a year since Chad Baltuck, who would have been a senior at Binghamton University this year, lost his battle with cancer. BU’s 2008 Relay for Life was dedicated to his memory. To honor him, some friends and former students are purchasing a brick from the Citi Field Fanwalk, part of the New York Mets’ stadium set to open in 2009. The fanwalk brick comes with a replica that will be sent to Baltuck’s parents. All money left over after the purchase will go to a foundation for stem cell research. Donations for the fanwalk brick will be accepted through Oct. 15.
