After a night of hard partying, a Friday night would just be incomplete without making Big Daddy’s your last pit stop before heading home.
For those who’ve never been to Big Daddy’s, now is the time to check it out. Big Daddy’s is known for their greasy and delicious pizza.
But for those of you who might be craving foods other than pizza, they also serve a variety of subs and sandwiches. Most of the items on the menu are $4.99, so you don’t have to worry if you’re working on a limited budget, and if you’re going out with friends, it might be easier and cheaper to share a large pizza for $14.
Jennifer Lee, a junior sociology major, likes to share a large pineapple pizza after a night of drinking with friends.
“It really does satisfy my late-night cravings,” she said. “Pizza and beer might not be the best choices before turning in, but it sure is good.”
Big Daddy’s is open until 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, but it usually starts to get busy around 3 a.m. when the bars close.
For those of you who aren’t into the late-night scene, that’s no reason to skip Big Daddy’s. They’re open from 11 to 1 a.m. during the week. With the wide assortment of menu choices ranging from hot wings to a Philly cheesesteak, it’s no surprise Big Daddy’s is the place to be after a night of partying. You should try Big Daddy’s at least once during your four years at BU.
Katie McCloe, a recent graduate of BU who did her master’s in social work, said she is one of the few who’ve visited Big Daddy’s during the lunch hour. “It’s nice to go in there when it’s less crowded and less noisy,” she said. “One of my favorite items on their menu is their chicken spiedie sub.”
But Big Daddy’s doesn’t just serve college students. They also get very busy midday, since the students at Binghamton High School are allowed to go off campus for lunch.
It’s located on State Street in the heart of Binghamton and is owned by Jerry Sweezy.
