With two games left to play, the men’s soccer team could earn the No. 1 seed in the conference… or they could miss the playoffs entirely.

The playoff picture will become much clearer after Binghamton’s game tomorrow night at Hartford. The Bearcats would clinch a playoff spot with a victory over the Hawks or if the Vermont/Albany game earlier in the day doesn’t end in tie. If the Bearcats lose tomorrow, they would fall into a tie for fourth or fifth place.

The Bearcats are currently in third place in the conference with a record of 3-2-1 in America East play, and need some help to move up in the standings.

Here are two scenarios if Binghamton wins tomorrow and then defeats Boston on Wednesday:

If UMBC loses at Boston tomorrow and Stony Brook loses at Maine, and then Stony Brook defeats UMBC Wednesday, the Bearcats finish in first.

If Stony Brook beats Maine, but loses to UMBC, the Bearcats would finish in second.
