SA scheduling town hall forum

According to Student Association President Adam Amit, there is a town hall forum in which all SA E-Board members will be present to answer any student questions, including those on the situation with the OCCT buses. The forum will be held on Wednesday at noon in the Old University Union, room 252.

Haiti memorial in Mandela Room

A Haiti memorial called “Nousonje,” meaning “We Remember,” will be held today in the Mandela Room, hosted by the SA and the Haitian Student Association (HaSA). According to Ricky Da Costa, vice president for multicultural affairs, the event will take place at 5:30 p.m., and light refreshments of cookies and lemonade will be served.

Collective cookbook project

HaSA and Hillel are collaborating on a cookbook project. The cookbooks will be available for a small fee, with proceeds going to Haiti earthquake relief efforts. Students can send in recipes for the cookbook. According to Da Costa, recipe submission must be done by Feb. 26. For more information e-mail Ricky Da Costa at vpma@sa.binghamton.edu.

Planning a large-scale event

On Wednesday at 8 p.m. the SA will be hosting a Student Leadership Roundtable Meeting. According to Jared Kirschenbaum, SA executive vice president, the event will take place in the Old Union, room 111, and is being held to discuss the how-tos of event planning on a large scale.

SA workshop to discuss updates

The SA will be hosting a PAWS workshop on Feb. 25. The event will take place at 8 p.m. in the Old Union, room 111, according to Kirschenbaum. At the event there will be a discussion on new updates from student groups, as well as a learning session to assist the groups with the interface.
