Lock: New Orleans (-6.0) over MIAMI: I trust in Drew Brees and his team. Offensively, they did amazing against the previously unbeaten Giants. Their running game has been stellar, the passing game is off the charts and I think they are the best team in the league.
Indianapolis (-13.0) over ST. LOUIS: I haven’t had great luck with huge spreads, but this seems like a no-brainer. Peyton Manning and the Colts off a bye-week are going to be tough for any team to beat, but against the Rams, it’s a guarantee. Too many Colts receivers are huge threats and I expect the Rams to stay winless.
San Diego (-4.5) over KANSAS CITY: The Chargers this season haven’t looked like the team that had a late-season surge last year. LT has been ineffective and the Chargers defense has been faulty, but this is the week to turn their season around. The Chargers need to win to stay with Denver in the division, and I think that will be motivation enough against a really weak Kansas City team.
Minnesota (+4.5) over PITTSBURGH: This was a tough game to pick, but Pitt shouldn’t be favored. I expect a really close game, and that makes the Vikings the pick here. Favre and Peterson have been great, and the Minnesota defense has also been surprisingly strong. This, to me, will be the game to watch this week.
