A Triple Cities Off Campus College Transport blue bus caught fire from its front around 10:17 a.m. on Saturday.

The bus was on its route, stopping at University Plaza.

According to OCCT service manager Giovanni Torres, the fire most likely sparked through an electrical component of the bus’s front. The Tri-City area Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.

Everyone on board the bus was removed before the fire started and there were no injuries, Torres said.

Adam Amit, Student Association president and chair of the OCCT board of directors, could not comment since an investigation is still taking place.

All blue buses of the same model as the Triple Cities bus have been pulled off the road.
