The Binghamton University men’s tennis team tallied a much-needed win on Sunday, knocking off Lafayette College 6-1 at Penn State’s Indoor Tennis Center to snap a three-match slide.

The Bearcats (3-5) swept the doubles matches and took five out of six singles matches in straight sets. Freshman Ruben Haggai recorded the sole Binghamton loss in the matchup, falling to Lafayette’s Andrew Morris 6-2, 7-6.

The Bearcats entered Sunday’s match having dropped three consecutive matches by a score of 7-0 on the road to Virginia Commonwealth University (9-2), University of Maryland (3-4) and Penn State (7-2).

Binghamton is set to travel to Duquesne University for a 12:30 p.m. match against the Dukes on Friday before taking on Robert Morris University at 6 p.m.
