The Binghamton track and field teams collectively secured eight individual first-place finishes at the Albany Spring Classic on Saturday.

For the men, freshman Jon Alkins and graduate student Jacob Platel each secured one title apiece. Alkins completed the 200 in 21.65 seconds, while Platel posted a 187-3 mark in the hammer. Junior Brandon Bordeau won a pair of events, the shot put and discus, with distances of 51-7 1/4 and 142-10, respectively.

For the women, freshman Sarah Haley won the pole vault (11-1 3/4), sophomore Alexis Hatcher took the 1,500-meter run (4:42.8), sophomore Tori Shaffer captured the high jump (5-7) and freshman Keishorea Armstrong secured the 100 (11.79). The quartet of Armstrong, juniors Ivory Taussig and Alexx Baum and senior Kathleen Klein placed first in the 4×100 relay with a time of 48.2 seconds.
