THURSDAY, APRIL 7, 12:22 a.m. — Officers on patrol noticed two male students who were acting suspiciously in the woods behind College-in-the-Woods’ Oneida Hall, said Investigator Patrick J. Reilly of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. The suspects initially claimed that they were just hanging out, but the officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from them, and upon further questioning they admitted to smoking. One of the suspects produced the bowl they had used which contained burnt residue. The officers searched the suspects and one of them was found to have a driver’s license that belonged to another person. The license and bowl were both seized and the case was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

SUNDAY, ARIL 10, 4:06 a.m. — A conflict between two male students in College-in-the-Woods’ Cayuga Hall led to University Police being called to settle the situation, Reilly said. One of the suspects, a 21-year-old student, had been sleeping when he was awoken by the other suspect, an 18-year-old student, and a disagreement led to the two exchanging blows. The conflict was broken up by the residential assistants in the building, and when the officers reported everyone involved was standing around. The officers determined that the combat was mutual, and the case was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

SUNDAY, APRIL 10, 10:30 p.m. — A group of students eating at the College-in-the-Woods Dining Hall were disturbed when an unidentified male threw a full cup of hot chocolate on their table, Reilly said. One of the people who spoke with officers, a 20-year-old female student, said that her coat and cell phone had been damaged by the hot cocoa, but she had not been hurt by it. None of the students recognized the male who threw the cup, and there are no suspects in the case.
