The holiday season is fast approaching. Before you know it, you’ll have dotted that last “i” and crossed the last “t” on your final exam and it’ll be mid-December … and you’ll still be giftless for your nearest and dearest friends. Don’t worry, we’ve been ignoring our own classwork and thinking about gifts so you don’t have to. Prices and styles are just for example. Shop around, kids, there are deals out there.

FOR THE VAMPIRE LOVER:

“Twilight” and vampires in general are all the rage this season. Why not pick up some “I Heart Edward” shirts from cafepress.com ($16.99) for a fashionista friend? Or if you’d like to go the more unique route, how about an “I Got Bitten by a Vampire and Liked It” apron ($21.15) for the Twilighter who enjoys a diet that consists of more than just animal blood? A fall back present is the complete book saga, available on amazon.com ($109.95).

“True Blood” fans are in luck as well. You can buy VILF T-shirts at zazzle.com (starting at $23.80) and at hbo.com/trueblood, you can find Sookie’s work shirt in your own size, complete with Mertlotte’s logo ($19.99). Neck bite marks not included. “True Blood” fans may also want to check out “The Southern Vampire Mysteries” book series ($23.97) by Charlaine Harris, the basis for the hit HBO series. — Ashley Morgan

FOR THE GREEK:

When anyone mentions the words “greek life” around campus, often times the first thing to come to mind is parties. But, with greek life on campus, you’ll notice a lot of pride. Therefore, the most appropriate gifts would have to fall in either of the two categories: party accessories or greek apparel.

For the holidays, Web sites like somethinggreek.com and greekave.com feature package specials for the greek member to purchase. They include different combinations of both apparel and accessories, like sweatshirts, T-shirts, sweatpants, posters and more, all personalized for their specific organization (prices ranging from $23.99 to $50.99).

Now, for the more rambunctious partying greek, possible gifts can include: the infamous “keggerator” (prices ranging from $500 to $3,000), strobe lights ($9.95), funnels ($7), organization-specific ping-pong balls (99 cents each for 250 balls) or heaps of red Solo cups ($41.88 for 480 at buythecase.net). Any of these gifts would probably be much appreciated by a member of the greek community. — Melissa Frascella

FOR THE GEEK:

Not sure what to get that tech-obsessed sibling of yours? Maybe you want to spice things up with your geeky significant other? Well here’s a list of sure-to-please Christmas gifts for everyone: from the newly-savvy to the jaded ResCon.

Clean Chemistry’s periodic table shower curtain, available for a modest $30 on uncommongoods.com is perfect for any science lover. Now, imagine your favorite geek at a fancy pre-release party for “Final Fantasy XXII.” Wouldn’t that spiffy Binary Code tie for $24.99 from kleargear.com look good?

And since we all know how the tech-types love novelty computer paraphernalia, don’t miss out on the functional R2-D2 USB hub. Considering its four 2.0 ports, articulated multi-position legs and official “Star Wars” status, $49.99 on thinkgeek.com is a reasonable price. Oh yeah, and it beeps-chirps-squeals when you plug in a new device. Another essential gift from thinkgeek.com is the Swiss Memory USB knife. A fancy Swiss Army knife, ballpoint pen, LED and a 2 gig flash drive? Well worth the 50 bucks you’ll be dishing out. One shouldn’t miss Urban Outfitter’s USB Fridge. Big enough for a single can of your favorite “soda,” this gift is worth any amount of Christmas green — especially the $32 asking price. — Jarrod Williams

FOR THE HIPSTER:

Basically, hit up Urban Outfitters. Flannel for him ($48) and for her ($38 to $78), or you can go the more thrifty way and actually go to a thrift store. For the guys, grab some skinny jeans ($36.99 at jcpenny.com) and for the ladies, check our American Apparel for a variety of leggings, a pack of three cotton leggings on sale now for $63. A vest would also be a solid investment for either sex. As always, they range in style and price. — Chris Harnick

FOR THE “HSM” FAN:

“We’re all in this together, once we know, that we are, we’re all stars, and we see that!” Yes, those are the iconic words of Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez and the rest of the “High School Musical” cast. Undoubtedly you know at least one crazed “HSM” fan and, hey, why not use that to your advantage this holiday season?

If you’re looking for apparel, there are great shirts, jackets and pajamas for Troy and basically any of the characters ($14.95 at disneyshopping.go.com). In terms of electronics, the new “High School Musical 3: Senior Year DANCE!” game is available for all major video game platforms ($19.82 at Wal-Mart), as well as “High School Musical: Sing It!” ($14.96 on amazon.com). Still looking for a game? Try the “High School Musical” Mystery Date board game or the “High School Musical” DVD board game ($14.99 on amazon.com). There are also blankets, pillows and bed sets (from $10.97 to $44.09 at Target). Most of these things you can get for under $40, so why not really surprise them this holiday season and get them jumping and screaming. — Diana Glogau

FOR THE BRO:

The Bro, not to be confused with frat boys, are hard partying males with popped collars, plaid shorts, flip-flops and copious amounts of hair gel who habitually rock out to Dave Matthews or Jack Johnson.

So what to get the bro who has everything? A new polo ($40 at Abercrombie & Fitch), Bed Head Power Trip hair gel ($12.99 at CVS), J√É.√Ü.√É.√§germeister ($21 on average) and “Family Guy” season 6 ($39.98 on amazon.com). — Elena Cox
