WEDNESDAY, Sept. 30, 12:52 p.m. — A 20-year-old female student was walking to her community from the East Gym when a red SUV pulled up next to her, said Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. The driver, a male who appeared to be in his 50s with gray hair and facial hair, asked the student if she knew how to get to Vestal. When the student replied that she did not, the man asked, “Does your feet smell?” When the student did not respond, he asked, “Does your feet smell like your cunt?” while scratching his groin in a lewd manner. The suspect then drove off, leaving the victim bewildered. Police have yet to locate the suspect, and no cases of similar harassment have yet been reported.

THURSDAY, Oct. 1, 1:59 a.m. — Patrol responded to a report of an unresponsive student in a room in Newing College’s Chenango Hall, Bush said. The suspect was an 18-year-old female student, who was unconscious when patrol arrived. They were able to awaken her, and though she was intoxicated, she was able to answer the officers’ questions and identify herself. She stated that she had been drinking, but did not remember where, when or who she had acquired the liquor from, and refused medical attention. The suspect has been charged with possession of alcohol under the age of 21.

THURSDAY, Oct. 1, 6:23 p.m. — A member of ResLife in College-in-the-Woods’ Cayuga Hall reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from a room, Bush said. Patrol responded and knocked on the door, where two 18-year-old male students answered. When the officers asked both students if they had been smoking marijuana one replied that he had, and the other said that he had not. The officers then found a bong on the floor, and asked the first student if he had marijuana. The student then produced .15 grams of marijuana in a small bag that he had been keeping in his desk, and additional bits of the substance were found scattered across the room. Due to the student’s cooperation, prosecution was declined and both were referred to Office of Student Conduct.

FRIDAY, Oct. 2, 1:35 a.m. — Three suspects — a 19-year-old male, a 20-year-old female and a 19-year-old female — were seen crossing the street holding a green-and-white Binghamton parking barricade, Bush said. When they saw the officers, the three dropped the barricade and ran into the Dickinson Community quad. Patrol caught up with them just before they were about to enter Johnson Hall. One of the female students took full responsibility for stealing the barricade, saying that she did not know why she had taken it nor what she intended to do with it. Although prosecution was declined, all three students have been referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
