After four decades on Vestal Parkway, sitting across from the Binghamton University campus, the office of the Press & Sun-Bulletin moved last month to the town of Union.

The news, accounting, human resources, information technology, advertising, editorial, online, circulation and departments are now located at the Airport Corporate Center, 33 Lewis Road.

According to Sherman Bodner, the publisher of the Press & Sun-Bulletin, the relocation was necessary because the building on Vestal Parkway could not accommodate for the changing technology and developments of the past 40 years. The Press & Sun-Bulletin wanted to find a more modern building to suit its needs.

“In 2006 new production made the old presses idle,” Bodner said. “In the mail room, more than a third of the space was not being utilized because of old machinery.”

The Press & Sun-Bulletin decided to lease space in the Airport Corporate Center, which is a multi-tenant building. Among other businesses, Ametek Aerospace, J.P. Morgan and InfoPrint are also located at this site.

Unlike the Vestal Parkway location, the new location will have space available for the marketing and finance departments.
