When it comes to test taking, there are several factors that must be taken into consideration. Where you’re going to sit, what pen or pencil you’re going to use, making sure all bathroom business is taken care of and your stomach is satisfied. But, one thing that’s probably not on your mind is what fashion statement you’re going to make when you enter that room full of anxious classmates. Below are several possible outfits that could possibly make or break your test taking experience.

Comfy/Casual: The path most traveled by university students. It includes sweatpants or pajama pants, a loose T-shirt and either Uggs or flip-flops depending on the weather. This look offers pure comfort and allows you to feel less constrained while taking your exam. It also provides the added bonus of giving you the ability to roll out of bed, allowing time for extra sleep or cramming.

“I feel constricted if I’m wearing anything but something comfortable,” freshman Gabby Roberts said.

Regular clothes: A final probably has the potential to be detrimental to your grade, but just tell yourself that it’s like any other test, to calm yourself down. Dress as if it is any other day: in your jeans and favorite shirt. Just be sure you don’t forget your lucky underwear.

Work out attire: Sometimes sitting for long periods of time can make people a little antsy. If you find yourself tapping your pencil within the first half hour of your final, you may want to consider this look. Donning your yoga pants, sports bra, T-shirt and running shoes will give you the ability to run out of Lecture Hall as quickly as possible and relieve the stress you’ve recently accumulated.

Professional wear: As the old adage goes, “Dress for who you want to be, not who you are.” If we were to take this saying and apply it to Binghamton life, this outfit would consist of a business suit for your management final, lab coat for your chemistry test or a beret and small poodle for your French exam.
