Lock: MINNESOTA (-10.5) over Seattle: With Adrian Peterson running the ball, you know the Vikings are going to be in winning positions game in and game out. His explosive runs have come frequently this season along with 11 TDs. Brett Favre has enjoyed hitting Rice and Harvin regularly but Shiancoe has been his favorite target in the end zone. Vikings should handle the Seahawks this week.

NEW ENGLAND (-10.5) over New York Jets: I’ve got one word for you: REVENGE. The Pats are going to be looking for payback after the Jets got the better of them back in Week 2. They will also be looking to get back on track after a heartbreaking loss to the Colts and a week long media frenzy about the 4th-and-2 decision. Pats have a rock solid offense and the Jets haven’t been good, losing five of six of their last games.

Pittsburgh (-10.0) over KANSAS CITY: The Steelers’ defense is definitely under the weather when Troy Polamalu is out, and he is probably not going to play. But the Chiefs have been more than questionable on both sides of the ball. I like Mendenhall to have a big game carrying the Steelers’ offense to a bunch of scores, negating any series that the defense may screw up.

New Orleans (-11.5) over TAMPA BAY: The Saints have been killing me; they keep picking up wins but coming up short on the spread. What makes me keep picking them? It’s mostly because they are amazing and I expect a solid double-digit win over the Bucs. Clearly my confidence is shot though, because they are not my lock.
