The BU volleyball team (12-15, 6-2 AE) suffered its first loss in five games at Albany on Monday night. The Great Danes (14-9, 7-2 AE) swept the Bearcats by the scores of 30-21, 30-17 and 30-27.

The Bearcats were held to a mere .061 hitting percentage and only four blocks. Junior middle hitter Jacki Kane had eight kills, and senior captain Megan Hoag contributed 19 digs and six kills in the loss.

Binghamton and Albany have split the season series so far, with each team sweeping the other once.

This loss knocks Binghamton down to second in the Conference. However, the Bearcats will have many chances to regain first as they finish their season with four conference games. Come see them play Stony Brook on Friday at 7 p.m. at the West Gym to help cheer them back on track.
