1. “The Origins of Thanksgiving” presentation by Timothy P. Bridgman

The presentation will focus on the origins of the American holiday of Thanksgiving, putting the holiday in historical context and its original significance for those who celebrated it.

2. Thanksgiving Day community dinner

When: From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24

Where: Binghamton High School cafeteria

3. 8th Annual Holiday Traditions Crafts Show

More than 150 arts and craft booths will be present and food donations for CHOW will be appreciated.

When: From 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26

Where: Binghamton University West Gym

Price: $4 per ticket

4. Binghamton Senators vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins

When: 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26

Where: Broome County Veteran’s Memorial Arena

3. Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon inflation

When: 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24

Where: Several public viewing locations around Manhattan, including Central Park West, Columbus Circle, 6th Ave., 7th Ave., 34th St. and 42nd St., NYC

5. Ice skating at the rink in Rockefeller Center

When: October through April

Where: 5th Ave. between 49th and 50th St., New York City
