Despite cloudiness and rain in the forecast for tomorrow, the Student Association has no plans to change the location of Spring Fling.
According to Bernadette Machuca, vice president for programming for the Student Association, the West Gym was secured as a rain location for the concert with Walk the Moon and T-Pain, but as of Friday morning, the decision had been made to cancel the reservation for that space, meaning the concert will be held outside, rain or shine.
“The only thing that would change is that if is does start raining at any point, we’re going to have to cut student performances because BSSL can’t be out there with their staging in the rain,” said Machuca, a senior majoring in biology. “But student tabling would still be on [if it rains], rides, food, everything else would still be the same.”
Machuca said that, at this point, the concert would only be moved if there is thunder or lightning and that any changes to the location or time of the event would be communicated via the SA’s social media channels.
