A fractured finger will sideline Rayner Moquete for about two weeks.

Binghamton men’s basketball head coach Tommy Dempsey said the senior guard, who is averaging 3.2 points per game on 26.2 percent shooting, has played through the injury on his non-shooting hand “for a while.” Moquete will likely sit out Binghamton’s games against Buffalo and Bryant, with New Year’s Eve against St. Joseph’s being a possible return date.

The Bearcats (2-8), who lack depth even with a healthy Moquete, hope redshirt junior guard Rob Mansell can return from a sprained left knee in time for Monday’s game at Buffalo (4-3). Dempsey said Mansell might practice this weekend for the first time since sustaining the injury at Mount St. Mary’s on Dec. 4, indicating the guard could be ready for Monday.
