Women’s track ready to begin 2012 campaign

The Binghamton University women's track and field team added five new athletes to the roster this offseason. The Bearcats welcome Alexx Baum, Shavonna Hinton, Katie Gallagher, Emily Taussig and Daniella Olusoga to the squad. Taussig joins the team as a sprinter, Hinton as a middle distance runner, and Baum and Gallagher as jumpers. Olusoga competed in the pentathlon in high school. The freshmen will join the 35 returning athletes for BU when the team kicks off its season on Jan. 21 at the Cornell Upstate Challenge.
