Lawmaker: make policy humane

Can America have a humane foreign policy? That was the topic at the Anderson Center’s Chamber Hall Monday afternoon where students gathered to hear a panel discussion on U.S. foreign policy with Congressman Maurice Hinchey.

Catamount comeback spoils BU’s senior day

On Saturday afternoon, three senior Bearcats on Binghamton’s women’s basketball team stood at center court inside the Events Center, drawing the gazes of 1,866 fans who rose to their feet to thank them for the last four years. Their coach, teammates and loyal supporters in the crowd had undoubtedly scripted to send power forward Leala Wegwerth, point guard Kate Townley and center Nicole Dypolt off with a win. But two graduating seniors from the University of Vermont had other plans.

Billings takes a giant step

Nick Billings showed me a side of him I’d never seen in Saturday’s season-ending loss to Maine at the America East tournament. Through his tears and difficulty in facing the demons of talking about his technical foul that gave Maine new life in the late stages of overtime, anyone who sat in the media room saw how much Billings cares about basketball and his Binghamton teammates.
