Sexism gripe launched over sports center beer

The Art Theatre, a beloved feature of Binghamton’s South Side, burned to the ground in an accidental fire that started about 1 p.m. on Feb. 9. A light bulb busted, landed on a curtain, and caused a spark that continued to burn. The fire department was able to arrive within seven minutes but had to remain outside because the fire had already spread to the oil-painted ceiling. At that point, there was not much anyone could do.
