WEDNESDAY, Oct. 7, 1:31 a.m. - A 57-year-old woman was found asleep on a sofa next to the bowling alley in the Undergrounds of the Old University Union, Bush said. Officers arrived and woke the woman. She could not produce identification, but explained that she was homeless and had been staying in a family care home in Binghamton. She said that she did not get along with two of the people there and had taken a bus to campus. WEDNESDAY, Oct. 7, 10:18 a.m. - A motor vehicle accident close to the back exit of campus was reported by the Vestal Police, Bush said. An officer on patrol responded to the call to see if it was on campus or involved Binghamton University students. The officer arrived on the scene to find Vestal police speaking to a female BU student who appeared to have minor injuries and was bleeding from the forehead. According to the student, she had been driving east on East Access Road when her brakes failed, and her car rolled over into a creek bed. The student had been wearing her seat belt and her airbag deployed, and she was able to climb out of the wreckage before the police arrived.
