THURSDAY, OCT. 7, 3:27 p.m. ‘ Police received a report of a damaged MacBook Pro (valued at $1,400) from an 18-year-old student living in Mountainview College’s Cascade Hall, said Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton University’s New York State University Police. The victim stated that she had left her computer open on her desk before leaving for class, and had subsequently come back to retrieve it before going to the Glenn G. Bartle Library thereafter. Upon arrival at the library she discovered a brown, sticky substance covering her keyboard, rendering it unusable. Although her room was unsecured, the victim stated that she has not had any sort of issues with her suitemates or anyone else, and had no idea who could have damaged her laptop or if it was even intentional, and only wished to make the report in order to leave a paper trail in case further developments arise. Police have no suspects.

FRIDAY, OCT. 8, 3:20 p.m. ‘ Two 19-year-old female students reported a faked Facebook account under one of their names. The account displayed personal information and photos that would normally only be accessible from her account, Bush said. Both made a report to the police department. The victim stated that she had no recent arguments with anyone and had no idea who could have posted the fake account. She had since sent a complaint to Facebook staff, and the fake account was deleted, but the victim took screenshots for reference before this took place. Police currently have no suspects, and the case is pending investigation.

SUNDAY, OCT. 10, 8:34 p.m. ‘ An unknown suspect damaged two bikes valued at $200 and $300 belonging to two 19-year-old female students near Mountainview College’s Marcy Hall, Bush said. The two left their bikes chained at the nearby bike rack, and later found that they had somehow been taken off and thrown over the fence of a nearby construction site. Upon retrieving them, the two found that both their bikes had been damaged ‘ one had a bent wheel and damaged brake pedal, while the other was missing a seat and both had various dents and other smaller damages rendering them unusable. There were no witnesses, and police currently have no suspects.
