Volleyball co-captain Dawn Lammert named to the District I Volleyball All-Academic First Team:

The senior was selected to the team as presented by ESPN The Magazine and selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Lammert is now eligible for the Academic All-America Team to be named later this year. She posted a 3.94 GPA and graduated with a bachelor’s of biology in just three years and currently has senior year athletic eligibility.

Men’s tennis Sven Vloedgraven loses opening match at the ITA National Indoor championship:

After winning the ITA Northeast Regional, junior Vloedgraven was given an immediate entry into the National Indoor championships. He faced seventh-seeded Bradely Klahn of Stanford, who is ranked 15th in the nation, and lost 6-2, 6-3. He enters the consolation bracket which is scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Six men’s soccer players selected to All-Conference teams:

Senior back Liam Carson was named to the first team, while seniors goalkeeper Jason Stenta and back Kyle Kucharski, junior forward Scott Zobre, sophomore midfielder Ryan Walter and freshman forward Jake Keegan were all named to the second team. In addition, Keegan was named to the All-Rookie Team.

Senior Josh Patterson named to CAA Silver Anniversary wrestling team:

The Colonial Athletic Association announced the team, which includes 22 All-American honorees and 10 former CAA Wrestlers of the Year. Patterson qualified for his third NCAA championships last season following a 46-6 overall record and 24-2 duals mark.

Women’s soccer travels to Boston for America East championship finals:

With an AE title on the line, the Bearcats are scheduled to travel to Boston for the championship match. The winner receives an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. Binghamton is 1-8 all time against the Terriers, including a 3-0 loss earlier this season.
